Diocese Policy for Website Links
In order to prevent the diocese from being associated with groups that may or may not be true to the teachings of the church, we limit the links that are included on our Web site for those that are directly affiliated with a canonically recognized entity. That would include sites under the direct ownership or supervision of a parish, diocese, religious order, bishops' conference or lay organizations with direct supervision by an ordinary of the church.
While we recognize that there are many responsible and dedicated lay organizations on the parish level, the sheer volume makes it difficult for us to establish ongoing monitoring and protocol for inclusion of them on our Web site. We encourage these kind of organizations to seek inclusion on their parish Web site, or, if they view their ministry as being inter-parochial, to seek a formal affiliation with a diocesan office.
